about

This album is the first, if not the last, in a mythology that somewhat documents the birth and metamorphosis of The Gardes, through different players and names such as The Happenin', The Livers and what else. Here you will hear songs, some of which are like rough drafts, sort of sketches in a notebook, done in the frantic manner of people in their means in a slaving society, like doodles drawn in a wandering daydream from the rat race, not painted on canvas as to front a masterpiece, but rather here as songs to be listened to as they are, and to be imagined as to what they could and can be. . . - Hort
